Shakira Jimenez Mota (she/her)
Consultant and Facilitator, Project and Personnel Manager, Master’s Degree in Cultural Studies and History
My utopia is…
… that real change—structural, societal, and systemic—is possible and benefits as many people as possible, as well as nature. That people are not seen merely as a resource but in all their richness, with their needs and knowledge recognized and nurtured. I wish for a perspective that is less focused on deficits and instead one that is more compassionate, oriented towards possibilities and a good future for all.
Role in the inclusive media minds network
Through my studies and, above all, my years of experience in project management, marketing, and human resources, I have developed the ability to analyze teams, hierarchies, power structures, and group dynamics in professional contexts. I support organizations in dismantling these structures and shaping new ways of collaboration.
When implementing complaint management, my professional experience and my ability to analyze and structure complex processes enable me to help develop the right processes. My strengths lie particularly in identifying bottlenecks and optimization potential and in communicating the necessary steps clearly and comprehensibly. A successful complaint management implementation succeeds, among other things and above all, in cooperation with different stakeholders of the organization.
As a consultant and trainer, I value:
- Transparency
- Knowledge transfer
- Promotion of diversity
I stand for:
- Creating safe spaces
- Developing and facilitating processes
- Supporting group formation (e.g., establishing PoC groups within organizations)
- Recruiting
- Diversity management
- Close collaboration between management and staff
Personal Positioning
I identify as Afrolatina, born and raised in the Dominican Republic. As a mother, I have faced discrimination both professionally and socially. I have lived in Hamburg since 2001, have two children, and have a deep passion for dancing salsa and bachata.
